Winter makes Bormio shine in all its beauty. If in summer it is a fascinating town to visit with its views, the Stelvio National Park and its medieval corners, in winter it becomes a paradise.
Ski runs, snowshoeing in the forest, sleddogging tours, thermal baths and relaxing.
Like all the best winter destinations, skiing and snowboarding are the main activities. Night skiing is something not to be missed, both in Bormio and in Santa Caterina Valfurva where it is possible to ski under the stars.
In addition to that, in Bormio the snow enthusiasts have two other entertaining attractions to experience: the Fun Slope and the Family Park. The first 700m long, is a ski cross run designed for the amusement of families with children. Along the trail there are obstacles like bridges, tunnels, spirals, twisters and interactive installations. The latter, Family Park, located next to the Fun Slope, is where the whole family can approach freestyling in a relaxed safe atmosphere.
For keen snowboarders and freeriders, the Snow Park is the place to be with its various trails suitable to intermediate and advance riders alike.
There are ski runs suitable to all levels of ability, but the most prestigious is the Stelvio, where one of the most challenging men’s Downhill Alpine Ski World Cup race takes place every year.
The choice is far-reaching, from a quiet walk to a day of health & wellness.
The town centre of Bormio is ideal for a pleasant day of shopping or a nice morning/afternoon tea in one of the many cafés. Beautiful medieval alleys create a romantic atmosphere, while well researched museums bring the local history and traditions alive. For the those interesting in shopping there are many fashion boutiques and retailers offering high quality items of local carft. There are also many restaurants to indulge in local dishes during the cold winter days.
The baths have been a popular destination forever thanks to the psychophysics wellness they contribute, especially in winter, when they become a truly magical place. Swimming in the hot spring water in Bormio under the snow is an experience everyone should try.
It is possible to choose among three thermal centres: Bormio Terme, right in town, easily accessible and suitable for the whole family; Bagni di Bormio, consisting of QC Terme Bagni Nuovi and QC Terme Bagni Vecchi, located few kilometres from the town and offering several different wellness treatments, including thermal grottos and tubs.
In the large and well-kept garden of the house you will find a private parking where you can leave your cars.

Davide, review on TripAdvisorMy family and I have spent a week in an apartment on the ground floor. Extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. Very close to the ski lifts and the town centre. Highly recommended.
